My blog is changing. I used to post about my life oversees ect but have not posted in a long time. I currently have a wonderful horse for sale and there are too many things to say about him. So I re-purpose this blog to be all about GE Rifle, well until he sells.

Beefy shells and cheese

Made this for dinner last night and Bob really liked it. I added the bell pepper and made steamed broccoli for the side.

Beefy shells and cheese
1 lb ground beef
1 package (12 oz) mac and cheese
2 cups water
1 1/4 cup salsa
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 can (15 oz) black beans, rinsed and drained
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon salt

In a large skillet, cook beef over medium head until no longer pink; drain. Set aside cheese sauce packet from dinner mix. Add shells, water and bell pepper to skillet. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until pasta is tender.

Stir in the salsa, beans, chili powder, salt and cheese sauce packet. Remove from the heat; cover and let stand for 5 minutes.
