Change

My blog is changing. I used to post about my life oversees ect but have not posted in a long time. I currently have a wonderful horse for sale and there are too many things to say about him. So I re-purpose this blog to be all about GE Rifle, well until he sells.

Sorry it's been so long

Wow does time fly by. We finally have internet. It is still not as reliable as in the state but a lot better. I tried to post twice before but my internet gave out half way through both times.
We had a nice thanksgiving. 4 friends came over and shared our meal. I have been volunteering at the vet clinic on base. Drew blood for the first time a few days ago. It has made me realize that I want to specialize in horses. Dogs and cats are great but horses are my passion. Hope everyone is doing well. Keep in touch.

We Made it

We're here in Turkey. It was a very long plane ride for us and the dogs. It is a 10hr time difference from Turkey to Cali and is affecting us hard. We got in last night at 10pm and Bob has been sleeping ever since. Now I slept on the plane and arrived full of energy. So it is now 10am the next morning and I have still not been able to fall asleep. The dogs and I went out for a nice walk as soon as it got light. The base is not very big. I can walk from the hotel to housing and all the shopping easily. We also still have burger king and taco bell so it just feels like home. Bobby starts work tomorrow so we shall see what the week brings.

Moving To Turkey

Well today they packed up our house for the move. We will not get our belongings back for up to 60 days. The projected date is Dec 31st. After Christmas :( oh well. All we get to take is our suitcases and of course the pets. We also will mail two small boxes but that is still not much to live on for two months. Had a few problems selling our Honda, so mom is going to have it transported back to Eureka. For some reason people out here don't want to pay anywhere near blue book and we just ran out of time. We leave town on Friday the 26th and will arrive in turkey sometime Sat night. It shall be the longest plane ride ever. Poor Zydeco. So far we plan on staying in Turkey around two years but that could change. Everyone we talk to that has been there has nothing to say but good things about it. Hopefully it will be a good experience where we can do lots of traveling. Will keep everyone updated with news and pics as we get them.
