Well I have had many new experiences here in Belgium. I have eaten so many strange foods that I am starting to loose track. So I though I would make a list. Many of these will not seem strange to others but they are all different to me.
Nutella: I love it!! It is a chocolate hazelnut spread that goes on bread. If anyone has heard of it in the states let me know.
German Sourcrout: He combined the sourcrout with apples and cinnamon. So it was kind of like sour applesauce.
Leek: a vege that looks like big green onions
Cigory: or maybe higory. Anyway it kind of looks like a small ear of corn on the outside but the inside it has layers like a onion.
Soft boiled eggs: they are put into little cups and you cut the top off with your knife and eat the inside with a spoon
Ham: it is on a thing that looks like a banana rack and it just sits in the pantry with a towel over it
Home made Mayo
Mayo on french fries, not ketchup
Ketchup on pizza
Mussels
They don't eat potato skins
So many different kinds of cheeses I could not list them all.

Nutella is very popular in some countries. I know the Aussies and British love it. You can buy it at the commissary here.
I know before I left the states, only certain stores carried it. I personally don't really care for. I had a friend from Australia that ate it on bread almost everyday. He loved it. He could even sing the theme song.
Hi Elicia,
You can buy Nutella here in Brookings at Fred Meyers and I think I've purchased it at Safeway in Crescent City. I really like it so I always keep my eye out for it. We've had a few really nice days but today it's back to rain. I'm so happy you're getting to see some of Europe (it's one of my favorite places to visit). Mom and I will be leaving soon for a cruise through the Panama Canal. We leave from Miami and it finishes at San Francisco. I just got done reserving another cruise for Mom and I for Mom's birthday. In Sep. we'll be going back up to Alaska. I'll be having my shoulder operated on in June so I'll be good to go when Sep. rolls around. Rachel and Travis came our way a few weeks back. Mom really enjoys her visits with Rachel. Mom started major dental last Nov. and I took her to Coos Bay last week for the finishing touches. She likes having a mouth full of teeth again, I cooked her a steak dinner to celebrate. I was watching the Weather Channel last night and there was a toranado in Little Rock. I don't know if your house is being lived in while you and Bobby are away. I keep praying everything is o.k. in Jacksonville. I hope you got to see the Eifel Tower at night when the lights are on. When Mom and I were there it was lit up and then it would go through a series of being on and off like a Christmas tree. Have fun and be safe. Liz
